Dear Sisters,
There are mixed feelings in my heart as I contemplate the changes that may result with future boundary changes for our ward as it presently is the largest in our stake! It has grown to the point where it is now time to divide our numbers into two congregations. (I am only assuming that this is inevitable, I'm not speaking from any specific knowledge of coming events.) It consistently happens that ward families grow to such a number that a new ward is formed and transitions in leadership and auxiliary positions become necessary.Through the direction of Priesthood authority the work of the Lord continues to roll forward.
With the talk of change in the air, I have been contemplating all the blessings I have received during the time I have been a member of the Daybreak 12th Ward. (to list them all would take more space than I have here!) I treasure all I have gained from our inspired ward leadership, teachers and the association and influence of each of you. I want to take this opportunity , as it is my turn to include this message,to express deep appreciation for the love and service you have each contributed to create the special bonds that we share as ward sisters. Thank you for your willingness to give time, talents, consideration and service to one another, Thank you for supporting the many requests that have been made, as your assistance which was so vitally needed, in the different assignments we have received as sisters and as a Relief Society sisterhood. Thank you for your wonderful examples shown us, your dedication to your callings and each unique contribution you each made to enhance the times we have shared.
This is the restored Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Our Savior lives! He leads His church under the direction of our present Prophet, President Monson. I know that if we follow the direction we receive from him and those who lead with him, we can have peace in our hearts and homes in spite of increasing worldly turbulence.I know that our unit leaders are called of God. They are blessed with inspiration for us and are the true under shepherds of our Savior.
We, as daughters of our Heavenly Father and women in the church, have a divine commission to bring souls and our families, unto Christ. We are trusted to learn of Him, take His name upon us and be his emissaries. We have the responsibility to learn and share His truth, His teachings, and His light to bring those in our association direction and strength. With the Gift of the Holy Ghost we can be directed and endowed with the understanding of how to proceed in the individual stewardships we each received in the preexistence. I entreat you to create a spiritual key chain and use the keys the Savior has given us to open our lives to have a sacred communion with Him. The first key is prayer. second, turning to the scriptures and the words of our present day prophets.Third is to obtain a broken heart and a contrite spirit which turns our attention to serving and loving others, fourth, pondering, evaluating our progress and being patient with ourselves as we grow in faith and the ability to repent and fifth, continue to increase in ability to obey with exactness the commandments and thus grow closer in our relationship with the Savior. As we come to center our lives on Him, our love and gratitude will increase and so will our personal strength to withstand the adversary and the pull of his worldly ways, allowing us to be prepared to prepare for the coming of Jesus Christ to the earth.

Need sisters to fill 2 four hour shifts from 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM (2 sisters)
These shifts could be shared by 4 sisters and then they could be broken into two hour times.
e.g. 3-5 p.m. 5-7 p.m. We are hoping that it may be a cooperative effort for the sisters with children. One Mother watching the little ones while the other was at the temple then
switching places and letting the first mother work the last two hours.
Friday - Oct. 8
need to fill 2 four shifts from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM. (two sisters) or . .
These shifts could also be broken down into two hour shifts if we have more sisters. (4 sisters)
Then the shifts would be 8-10 and 10 - 12

September Presidency Message
The other day I woke up with the song "Have I Done Any Good In the World Today" in my head. It made me think about the upcoming day and the upcoming month to reflect on my blessings and what I could do for those around me. It reminded me of a day not long ago where my sister needed me and I dropped what I thought were important things to go and help her and her kids. Instead of lamenting about the day or grumbling about missed opportunities, we decided to pile into my car and do something fun with the rest of it. I found that my sister and her kids were far more important than any work or social related activity and we had a great time with one another. One of my neices even looks back on that day and reminds me of what a great time we had.
President David O. McKay made this statement: “Man’s greatest happiness comes from losing himself for the good of others.” Last November, President Monson said "Often we live side by side but do not communicate heart to heart. There are those within the sphere of our own influence who, with outstretched hands, cry out, 'Is there no balm in Gilead?'"
"I am confident it is the intention of each member of the Church to serve and to help those in need. At baptism we covenanted to 'bear one another’s burdens, that they may be light.' How many times has your heart been touched as you have witnessed the need of another? How often have you intended to be the one to help? And yet how often has day-to-day living interfered and you’ve left it for others to help, feeling that 'oh, surely someone will take care of that need.'"
"We become so caught up in the busyness of our lives. Were we to step back, however, and take a good look at what we’re doing, we may find that we have immersed ourselves in the 'thick of thin things.' In other words, too often we spend most of our time taking care of the things which do not really matter much at all in the grand scheme of things, neglecting those more important causes."
Sisters, you are a great example to me. I see how willing you are to serve others. Without asking you bring someone a meal or help them in some other way. You have such love and concern for those around you. How blessed we are to have you as a part of our ward family.
During the month of September, I encourage each of you to think about the upcoming month and reflect on what you can do for those around you. Pray and ask the Lord to help you have opportunities to serve those around you. I know that as you do this, you will find joy and many opportunies will come.
