Back to Basics Balance: Obedience

Would we of laughed or been amused by the site of Noah building his ark? It was obedience, not rain that motivated Noah. Are we any less willing to be obedient? Have we been told any less plainly to be prepared than was Noah - to build our own “ark” even in the absence of rain? President Ezra Taft Benson said: “The revelation to produce and store food may be as essential to our temporal welfare today as boarding the ark was to the people in the days of Noah.” President James E. Foust said: “It is my testimory that we are facing difficult times. We must be courageously obedient.”
The degree of our preparation will equal the extent of our obedience, which will determine the measure of our peace of mind. D&C 38:30... but if ye are prepared, ye shall not fear.
